Licensed Social Worker

Job Summary 

The Mental Health Provider works independently via telehealth and hybrid to provide expertise on the mental health needs of patients and their families.  Services may include diagnostic assessment, individual, collateral, group, family, and/or other modes of psychotherapy to promote the health and functioning of the patients being served. Candidate needs to be work effectively with treatment team that may compromise of physician, nutritionist, case manager and other therapists and be involved in integrating behavioral health services into a primary care setting.  Be knowledgeable in working with patients of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. This position may involve clinical supervision to other mental health providers. Assist in education and training programs, policy writing, and/or research and program development. 

 

Work Shift

Flexible Schedule 4-15 hours/per week via Hybrid

 

Experience

Required: Minimum two years of post-graduate school mental health experience working with children and families.

Preferred: Two years or more of post-graduate school mental health experience working with children and families in a healthcare setting.

 

Education

 Required: Master’s or doctoral degree from a nationally recognized accredited school or program offering a degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or equivalent mental health related field.

 

Training

• Required: Knowledge of eating/feeding disorder treatments and interventions. 

• Preferred: Previous LPS designation. 

 

Specialized Skills

• Required: Understanding and applying Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); Use of Evidence-based practices and experience utilizing them in a medical/behavioral health setting; Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate. Fluent in written and spoken English. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Ability to use computer and software programs necessary to the position. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; compose written materials; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload. Participate in the on-going development and implementation of programs 

 

Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish

 

Licensure

• Required: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT) – CA or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - CA.
